David Weld

David is an entrepreneurial and forward-thinking C-level executive who has helped to build and grow global data and software B2B and SaaS companies. David has decades of experience in scalable computing, geospatial data, and corporate finance and governance. At Microsoft, David helped to create Windows NT (which ultimately penetrated more than half of corporate computing at the time), MSN/MSNBC, and Slate (which David named as Slate’s first Publisher). David has also helped to create new product offerings at IBM, Verizon, The Weather Company, INRIX, and LoudEye, which David helped to IPO to an initial market cap of over $1BB. As an operating executive and director, David has helped lead a number of financing and buy- and sell-side M&A transactions.
David is the founder of KILN, an incubator that has helped to create companies and products in varied markets including population movement, weather analytics, distributed auctions, healthcare informatics, parking information, insurance analytics, and two new national-scale restaurant chains. David has studied mathematics and physics and has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Russian and an MBA from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Scott Heydon

He has extensive experience in supporting Fortune 500 companies in their strategic development and execution. Scott is an expert in implementing Lean operating systems, helping Starbucks and other companies deliver industry-topping results through development of the company’s team members.
Scott lives in the Seattle area with his wife and two children. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends and golfing.
Cynthia Wingo

Cindy has over thirty years of experience in finance and business operations. She started her career in public accounting and has held senior roles in both early-stage and mature operating companies. Cindy was the CFO of an asset management firm with more than $5BB of assets under management. She is a partner and the CFO in the Universal Infrastructure family of companies. Cindy has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of San Francisco.
Dmitry Kaplan

Dmitry earned his PhD in Electronics / Artificial Intelligence at the University of Washington in 1988. Since then he has managed his company, Epsilon Consulting, specializing in high-relevancy data discovery and visualization, development of medical diagnostic instrumentation, non-linear signal processing, and management of engineering projects.
Joe Hunter

Joe has four decades of experience in government, public policy, governmental relations, and the energy and utilities markets. As a Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Interior Department under President George H.W. Bush, Joe was responsible for a $2BB budget and managed the U.S. Geological Survey, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the Bureau of Mines. Joe has been responsible for major hydroelectric generating operations and has participated in all aspects of the energy and infrastructure markets from all angles. Joe has a BA in Political Science from Westminster College in Missouri.

Mark Carroll

Mark is a strategic technology executive and creative problem solver. He has spent his career in global scalable systems and has expertise in technical architecture, technology selection, mobile applications, API frameworks, big data analytics, and solutions selling. Mark has expertise across a range of hardware and software platforms and has experience in many industry verticals.
Mark started life in England and spent his early career with Microsoft in Europe before settling in Seattle where he has been for the last 20 years. When he is not creating things with technology, Mark is an ardent woodworker and DIYer and enjoys being able to make things you can actually touch. He lives in Washington wine country with his wife, two children, two dogs and a cat.
Rob Konski

As a senior operating executive and financial investor, Rob has broad experience across the risk-return spectrum and the corporate operating life cycle. Rob has managed multi-billion-dollar energy, oil & gas, and technology portfolios for Wells Fargo Principal Investments. He has completed fourteen M&A transactions, participated in restructurings in five countries, helped to create a supply chain arbitrage group, launched an infrastructure debt portfolio, and run operating companies with up to $250MM in revenue. Rob has a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Finance from Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University.
William Weld

Bill was elected in 1990 as the first Republican governor of Massachusetts in 16 years and was re-elected with a record 71% of the vote. As the chief executive, Bill was credited for turning “Taxachusetts” into a fiscally well-run and business-friendly state and was named the “Most Fiscally Conservative Governor” in the country by the Cato Institute. Bill ran the Criminal Division of the United States Department of Justice under President Reagan, served as co-chair of the Privatization Council, and remains highly active in national and global business, where he has deep experience in the energy sector, the regulatory environment, and climate policy. As a general partner in a private equity fund, Bill helped to raise more than $500MM in the aggregate. Bill graduated first in his class at Harvard College, with honors from Harvard Law School, and with Distinction from Oxford University (England).
